Tynisha Williams, a 30-year-old American tourist, has been reported missing in Cozumel. The Port Authority confirmed that she failed to return to her cruise ship, the Radiance of the Seas, on February 17th. Despite an alert issued by the consignee agency at the time of departure, she was not located before the ship left the island.
Tynisha arrived in Cozumel aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship. However, she did not return to the ship before it departed, causing concern among the crew and local authorities. Eight days after her disappearance, the Port Authority issued nautical notice number 039/2025, requesting information about her whereabouts from the maritime community.
Tynisha disembarked from the Radiance of the Seas while it was docked at the SSA Mexico International Cruise Terminal. Her last known location and activities on the island remain unknown. The confirmation of her disappearance came through an official statement signed by Navy Captain CG.DEM, Víctor Manuel Lozano Jerezano (B-8074470).
The Radiance of the Seas returned to Cozumel on February 24, docking from 06:15 to 17:00. However, it departed again without Tynisha. This marks the second instance of a tourist disappearing on the island in recent years. The previous case involved a tourist named Brad who went missing in 2023 and was never found despite extensive searches.
Tynisha’s disappearance has caused considerable concern among Cozumel residents and visitors. Authorities are continuing their investigations and have appealed to the maritime community for any information regarding the missing tourist. As of the latest update, Tynisha Williams has been located, but details about her current situation have not been disclosed.
