Volaris Launches Daily Non-Stop Guadalajara-Tulum Flight

Volaris, a prominent airline, has announced the launch of a new daily non-stop flight from Guadalajara to Tulum. This new domestic route is expected to boost the local economy, according to Bernardo Cueto Riestra, the Secretary of Tourism of the state.

Cueto Riestra expressed his optimism about the new flight, stating, "The introduction of the Volaris Guadalajara-Tulum flight is a significant step forward for tourism growth and development in our state. We are confident in its success as it expands air connectivity, allowing more tourists to discover and enjoy the beautiful Riviera Maya."

This new flight by Volaris enhances both national and international connectivity in Quintana Roo. It is projected to benefit tourists visiting Tulum and the Riviera Maya, while also creating new opportunities to stimulate the local economy.

Cueto Riestra emphasized that direct flights like this one from Guadalajara enable more people to reach their destinations. More importantly, it encourages tourism that respects and values the unique natural, cultural, and archaeological environment of the state.

He further explained that Volaris has consistently shown commitment to tourism growth and continues to invest in Quintana Roo. The airline is offering new routes that enhance the travel options and ease access to one of the most stunning and sustainable destinations in the country, the Mexican Caribbean.

The inaugural Y4 1400 flight from Guadalajara landed with 161 passengers on December 5, 2024, marking the commencement of the new daily non-stop service to Tulum International Airport.
