The city of Playa del Carmen is set to make a significant impression at the upcoming International Tourism Fair (Fitur). Mayor Estefanía Mercado emphasized that the city will not be showing up "empty-handed." She made this statement during a year-end toast hosted by the Riviera Maya Hotel Association (AHRM).
During the event, Mayor Mercado announced the launch of the brand Arena Playa. This, along with Ciudad Playa del Carmen, five new tourist routes, and the Let's Playa application, are expected to elevate Playa del Carmen's status as a global multi-destination vacation spot.
"We are no longer going to Fitur empty-handed. We are not just following the state agenda, we are going with a concrete project for what we want for Playa del Carmen, not just for the next three years, but for the next 30 years," Mayor Mercado stated.
