A young woman, subjected to torture, escaped her captors and sought refuge at the Red Cross in Cancún's Region 21. She showed clear signs of both physical and emotional abuse.

The woman was reportedly abducted near the El Parián market in Superblock 63 while en route to meet a friend. She was then taken to a nearby area known as El Crucero or The Little Mermaids. Here, she was reportedly intercepted by members of a criminal group who proceeded to torture her in a private residence.

Despite her injuries, the woman was able to escape. She walked several blocks before reaching the Red Cross clinic where she received emergency treatment.
