Nine Women Safely Rescued From Burning Yacht Near Isla Mujeres

The Mexican Navy, in collaboration with the Ninth Naval Region, successfully rescued nine women from a stranded boat near Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo. The rescue was carried out by personnel from the Naval Station for Search, Rescue, and Maritime Surveillance (ENSAR) in Isla Mujeres.

The operation was initiated following an alert received by the Command and Control Room of the C-5. The report indicated that a boat, with nine crew members aboard, had lost propulsion and was experiencing a fire near Isla Mujeres, Q. Roo.

In response, a Defender type boat from ENSAR in Isla Mujeres was immediately dispatched. The naval team located the distressed boat and proceeded to rescue the nine women, who were found to be in good health.

Following the rescue, the women were safely transported to the Navy facilities. After ensuring their wellbeing, they were allowed to leave on their own accord.
