XCARET GROUP SHUTS DOWN AMID HURRICANE BERYL

Hurricane Beryl is currently located in the center of the Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea. As per its current trajectory, it is expected to hit Quintana Roo on the night of Thursday 4th July, approximately 75 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen. To ensure the safety of its visitors and staff, the Xcaret Group has announced the following plans for their parks, tours, and shipping company:

On 3rd July, all parks and tours will continue as usual, with the exception of the catamaran tours to Isla Mujeres. The ferries on the Playa del Carmen – Cozumel route will run until 17:30hrs and the Cozumel – Playa del Carmen route until 18:30 hrs. The Cancun – Isla Mujeres – Cancun route will operate as usual.

On 4th July, operations will be suspended at the following parks and tours: Xel-Há, Xenses Insomnia, Xoximilco, Xplor Fuego, Yalkú and the Xichen tour, as well as the ferries crossing to Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. Parks Xcaret, Xenses, Xplor, and Xavage may operate with limitations based on the current weather conditions. The Xcaret Mexico Spectacular show will not be performed on this day.

On 5th July, all operations of Parks, Tours, and Shipping will be completely suspended.

Operations are expected to resume on 6th July, starting with the opening of Xcaret Park, Xenses Insomnia, Xplor Fuego, Xoximilco and Xenotes Tour. The operations, including the Xcaret Mexico Spectacular show, will be dependent on an evaluation of the impact of Hurricane Beryl, which will be promptly reported.

By 7th July, it is expected that all parks, tours, catamarans, and ferries will resume operations according to official schedules.

The Xcaret Group will update the information related to operations based on the progression of the hurricane and information from authorities. The group has relevant protocols in place to deal with such events and is in constant communication with its guests and visitors to handle any necessary actions.

Guests with confirmed reservations in the coming days are advised to establish contact through the same booking channel to receive care and follow up on their concerns. The Xcaret Group will monitor official channels and the indications of the authorities for the resumption of its operations.
