Plans are already underway for various events to commemorate the celebration. Recently, a meeting was held with Manuel Medina Castro, President of the Association of Registered Cattle Breeders of the State of Yucatán. As a result, two national exhibitions of Nelore and Guzerat cattle are being organized to highlight the fairground's cattle identity.
Díaz Mena, accompanied by Candy Eb Cauich and Yussif Heredia Torre, Event and Operation Directors respectively, announced that maintenance and remodeling work will begin soon. This is in accordance with an agreement with the outgoing government to ensure the renovations are completed on time.
During the inspection, it was noted that several areas of the fairgrounds, including the toilets, are in dire need of maintenance. Other spaces that have been closed to the public in recent years will also undergo rehabilitation, expansion, and improvement.
Díaz Mena emphasized the need for new, decent public facilities. He stated, "We want new toilets, decent spaces that the public deserves to be able to visit the Fair properly."
The initial work will focus on improving the toilets and electrical installations to ensure the safety of all exhibitors and visitors. Cleaning of various common areas and entertainment centers will also be carried out. This will pave the way for the new government to further the work and begin organizing the Fair and preparations for the 50th-anniversary celebration.
