Young members from the Yucatán's Youth Integration Center (CIJ) have initiated a project aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental care through the development of a community garden. They've been sharing their progress and ongoing work on the garden via social media, using the hashtags #HuertosCIJ and #OurLandOurFuture. These posts highlight their dedication to environmental conservation and the importance of cultivating organic, home-grown food.

As part of this green initiative, CIJ Yucatán is inviting the local community to join them on Friday, June 7 at 8 a.m. at the center's location. The event will feature a training course on urban gardening. This course aims to provide participants with the necessary skills to create and maintain gardens in urban settings, thereby promoting self-sustaining food sources and environmental preservation.

This project does more than just promote a connection with nature and the cultivation of healthy food. It also encourages community integration and fosters the development of practical skills among its participants. In honor of World Environment Day, CIJ Yucatán is urging everyone to participate in this initiative and take tangible actions towards caring for and preserving our environment.
