A 22-year-old woman, earlier reported missing, was discovered 12 hours later in Cancún. Local residents of the Prado Norte subdivision reported sighting a seemingly disoriented woman. It was confirmed that this was the same individual who was later aided by the Specialized Group for Family and Gender Violence (Geavig) at the intersection of Avenue 3 and Jacaranda Street in the Prado Norte subdivision, part of Supermanzana 260.
The woman's mother had alerted the authorities via the emergency number 911, stating that her daughter had left home at 7:00 AM the previous day and had not returned. Worried for her safety, she sought help.
After the woman was found wandering in the area, Red Cross paramedics were called to provide a medical evaluation as she appeared disoriented and had not eaten all day. Later that evening, around 10:00 PM, the officers informed the mother that her daughter was being transported to the Cancún General Hospital “Jesús Kumate Rodríguez,” and offered support for her to reunite with her daughter.
It has been reported that the young woman is currently receiving medical treatment, and her situation is being closely monitored. As of now, it remains unclear how she ended up in the location where she was found.
