The Yucatan region continues to offer some of the most competitive gasoline and diesel prices across Mexico, according to a report from PROFECO, Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency. The report, which analyzes prices across eight regions in the country, highlights Merida and Kanasin as areas with particularly low fuel costs.
In terms of diesel, Kanasin ranks third nationally for the best price. Diesel is priced at $24.01 per liter at the Pemex station located on the Merida-Puerto Juarez highway.
Merida boasts the second-lowest price for Premium Gasoline across the country. The G500 station at the corner of 67th and 42nd streets offers Premium Gasoline at $23.56 per liter. For Regular Gasoline, Merida ranks fifth nationally, with a price of $22.47 per liter at the Pemex station on the Merida-Chichen Itza highway.
On the other end of the spectrum, the highest diesel price can be found in the municipality of Solidaridad in Quintana Roo, where it costs $28.28 per liter. This is closely followed by Xochistlahuaca Guerrero at $26.89 per liter. The most expensive Premium Gasoline is in San Nicolas de los Garza in Nuevo Leon, priced at $27.98 per liter, closely followed by San Pedro Tlaquepaque in Jalisco at $27.49 per liter. For Regular Gasoline, the highest price nationally is in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon, where it costs $26.83 per liter.
